Collection: Trilobite trackways

Trilobite trackways are ichnofossils (trace fossils) that record the movement and behaviour of these extinct marine arthropods on the ancient seafloor. Rather than preserving the animal's body, these fossils capture the marks left behind by their legs and bodies in sediment

Cruziana: Distinctive bilobate (two-lobed) furrows with chevron-like patterns. These were created by trilobites "plowing" or burrowing through soft sediment, often while foraging for food.
