Amazonite is a blue-green variety of the mineral microline,belonging to the potassium feldspar group.

Rock formation: it typically forms in coarse-grained igneous rocks like pegmatites and plutonic granites. The slow cooling of magma in these environments allows the crystals to grow large.
The blue-green colour is caused by trace amounts of lead and water within the
