Apatite is a phosphate mineral and is 5 on the MOHs hardness scale. It crystallizes in the hexagonal crystal system and is widespread mineral found in igneous,metamorphic and sedimentary rock. It is primarily component of phosphorite rock and massive biological apatite is found in vertebrate teeth and bones.
Fluorite is a halide (calcium fluoride) mineral and is 4 on the MOHs hardness scale. It crystallizes in isomorphic (cubic) crystal system. Fluorite typically forms in hydrothermal veins (often alongside metallic ores) ,as well as in sedimentary deposits and some igneous rocks.
