A cruziana is a type of trace fossil that preserves the militate (two lobed) furrows and scratch marks left behind by trilobites as that plowed,crawled or foraged through soft marine sediment.
It is an ichnofossil (trace fossil) rather then a body fossil,meaning it records animal behaviour and movement rather then preserved body parts of the organism itself.
